Relive the '80s, Trivia Style
From the game pieces to the trivia cards, every aspect of Scene It? has been "80s-fied." The game begins with players choosing one of four collectible tokens to represent their team. Sculpted out of metal, these tokens have been modeled after some of the '80s' most recognizable cultural artifacts: a cassette tape, a joystick, a bulky handheld phone, and a keytar. The game board is collapsible and features two sizes, giving you the option of playing a 15-minute quick game or a 40-minute extended game.

Teams advance around the board by answering two types of questions: traditional trivia cards and DVD-based puzzles. The trivia cards, which resemble what you might find in Trivial Pursuit, come in three different categories: green "Take Three" questions, orange "Songs, Slogans and Sayings" questions, and yellow "Pop Culture" questions. They vary in difficulty, and some of the tougher questions are challenging enough to stump even the most loyal '80s enthusiasts.

The main attraction, however, is the interactive DVD. Featuring hundreds of video clips, sound bites, and images from the '80s, the DVD challenges players to solve brain-teasing puzzles. With a variety of different puzzle categories, the DVD puts your knowledge of '80s to the test. Categories include "Distorted Reality," where players must identify a character based on a distorted image, and "Spellbinders," which challenges players to decode a secret message.

Fun for the Whole Family
The DVD has been designed to resonate with children of the '80s. You'll relive the radical fads of hair metal and pop rocks, hear your favorite '80s music, and watch video clips of classic '80s media moments.

With hundreds of questions, '80s Scene It? has something for everybody. The difficulty is also varied enough to keep everyone engaged -- from '80s cultural scholars to casual fans. Also, some of the video puzzles are completely self-contained, so even those who are too young to remember the '80s can participate in the game

Our family loves Scene it games, we own several versions. I originally bought this version as a gift for a friend, we played it together and it was so much fun I had to order another one for myself! Watching the clips from Movies, Music Videos and News broadcasts were fun for remembering the good (and sometimes not so good) events of the 80's. We played it with our children as well, and realized it's educational too, many times we stopped game play to finish the story a News broadcast discussed or expand on a trivia question the kids asked about and even found ourselves "googling" topics when we couldn't remember how it ended.

Party play mode is great for sitting around the living room with friends, no need to get out the game board, all you need is a tv and dvd player (or laptop). The game disk randomly plays questions, clips and puzzles on the screen, as you try your hand at remembering all the songs, slogans, stars and events of an entire decade! What were you doing when.......?
Great version of Scene It!

This one of the better Scene It! games. My friends and I own nearly all of them. This one takes you on a ride to your past. It's fun seeing clips from TV Shows, Movies, and various other trivia from the 80s. It's always sure to strike up some interesting conversations based on some fun memories. As with all scene it games, you can play with the board or just party play answering one question after another. Great for 2 people or a whole group. This game will continue to be a staple on our game night.
Great for children of the 80s

A game of trivia and nostalgia I don't have to study for, with a few obscure clips and questions I didn't know. So I guess I'd say there are a wide mix of questions. We really enjoy playing this and have a good time with the format. It's easy to learn how to play and good for any size group.

Game was fun and brought back a lot of memories but I realized I didn't know as much as I thought I did about the 80's.
Fun Game!

I purchased this game for my brother-in-law for Christmas. He has played it with friends, and we got the chance to play it when we were visiting too. It really is fun if you grew up in the 80s. It's just like all the other scene-it games, if your familiar with those. The questions and video clips, along with the song clips make it a fun trip down memory lane. It brought back memories that I completely forgot about until I saw/heard them again. It's a great party game with people who remember the 80s!

I purchased this game for my daughter for Christmas as she loves family games & she is into everything from the 80's since that is the era she grew up in. It turned out to be a lot of fun. It was also educational since it has a lot of trivia concerning history during that time.
Fantastic Game

This game is a blast if you can relate to the 80s. Regardless of whether you were an adult or simply born in that decade, this game captures a lot of great moments that you won't want to forget. I highly recommend this product if you enjoy the SceneIt games and if you enjoy talking about the 80s.

I recently played this with my wife, sister/brother-in-law, and my parents. I probably won't be inviting all my friends over to play anytime soon, but it's good for a night of fun.
Enjoyable and challenging

I gave this as a gift. It is fun to play, but I would suggest players to be around 20 or older. You have to have some first or secondhand knowledge of the 80's to be able to enjoy it. We had mixed ages on our teams so it worked out fine. I like the feature of either a short or long version.
