Product Description |
The Parents Magazine Battat Busy Zoo activity cube is a fun-filled learning experience. The activities are simple enough for one-year-olds to understand and large enough for them to manipulate with ease. On top, they can move animals along tracks or twirl wooden shapes along looping wire. Choices around the four sides include rotating picture blocks until they form a picture of a variety of animals; turning any one of interconnecting gears to make them all spin; opening and closing a door and window. For the future, reversible alphabet blocks show a picture and its initial letter on one side, and the upper and lower case letter on the reverse. The various finger and hand manipulations will develop the muscles later used in learning to write.

This toy has been great for our 7 month old. Not only does it give her all sorts of knobs, doors, and balls to play around with, but it also has helped her to gain her balance, since she often plays with it while standing next to it.

I gave this to my nephew for his first bday and he loves it. He plays with it by himself for a very long time! He stands up using it for support. His 5 yr old sister plays with it too. It is not too daunting in size and is not an eyesore to have sitting out when company comes. It looks good and is very good for his overall development. It is sturdy, stimulating, attractive and well worth the cost. I will gladly give this to another one yr old in the future!

This is a wonderful product. My son was 13 months when I bought it for him and he loves it. My 3 year od niece also loved it when she came to visit.
The corners aren't sharp the company did a good job of making sure it didn't have sharp corners. Also the one side that has the circular blocks that slide down are better than another toy like it that I bought for my son. |

This toy is a little work of art for your child's room. Our son is only 13 months so he will play with it only for a short time but his cousin, who is 23 months loves it and is constantly playing with it when she comes over. So my only advise is to get is when they are a bit older than our son to maximize the months/years your child plays with the toy. Hope this helps!
The best busy block toy I have found

My son is 13 months old and likes to play with the beads on the top. He is always pushing the beads along their "tracks" and opening and closing the doors on the side. He hasnt quit figured out how to get the round objects to go all the way up the zigzags but he likes to watch me do it and them let them go so they fall to the bottom. The alphabet on the side is good also because I am constantly showing it to him and teaching him the alphabet. Each letter coincides with an object on the back so there is more opportunities to teach your child about them and our language.

I bought this for my one year old daughter and she loves it. It comes fully assembled, and is very safe and durable. All the sides have a fun activity that keeps children busy. Older children also enjoy playing with this. I highly recommend the toy.

I was suprised at how high quality this product is. My 11 month old daughter loves it, and it has a lot of areas to explore that will keep her interested for months to come. I would highly recommend it.

this was a Christmas gift for my 10 month old and he LOVES it. He plays with it several times a day. He is pulling up and will make his way around all 4 sides playing with each activity. My 4 year old also likes it. She will pretend with her animals on the top. It is well constructed, sturdy, but that being said, you have to watch because my son can pull it over on him self even though it is made of heavy wood. He has never been hurt by it, just stuck for a moment. I would definitely buy this again.

We bought this for our daughter's 1st birthday and she loves it. There is so much to do, and she likes to play with each of the sides and the top. It is sturdy and doesn't tip over when she uses it to pull herself up. It is colorful, well-made, and DOESN'T MAKE NOISE OR LIGHT UP!! HOORAY! It is a great toy for quiet time. I bought it at Target for $49 so I don't know why it is listed at $179 here.
