Good quality sound - not annoying!

| I just bought this to take over for our soon-to-be adopted infant. I was very happy with the small size and weight (perfect for an infant to hold). But most of all, the sound quality is fantastic (and not too loud) - and not electronic sounding at all. And the tunes are all pleasing to the ear and not annoying kid versions. I will like listening to it as much as our son! |
A must for every parent!

| I love this toy and will give it to every new parent that I know! This is the only toy with sound that we own that does not have clear packing tape on the speaker! (Every other toy gets the "tape treatment" once it enters the house!) Music quality is great and the songs play for longer than most toys, so you don't have to reach over and hit the button as often! |
One of the Smartest toys to 'Take Along'

My Daughter picked this toy out @ Wal-Mart, among a few other toys herself!! When I originally bought it, she was only 3 months old!!!!
We moved the end of October and lost it in the move. I ordered it online and when it arrived, her eyes lit up and she fell in love with it all over again!!! It calms her down peacefully. I strongly recomend this for every parent out there. |

I have a 10 month old daughter, and she has fallen in love with this toy. I bought this because of its portability and size, but the small package has delivered so much more.
The sound from the single speaker on the back of the 'Takealong Tunes' is extremely solid for such a small speaker, not tinny or hollow what so ever. The lights move in time to the music, and the whole thing is light enough for her to easily carry in one hand while she crawls around the house.
The large button-like wheel on the front is extremely easy for her to push, with just enough resistance that it isn't going off incessantly, and the colorful caterpillar handle is a natural draw to her mouth. The only minor complaint I would have is that I wish the handle were rubberized instead of hard plastic since it is in her mouth so often.
I thought I was buying a good sound & lights toy for the portability since it is not always easy to drag larger flashing, blinking, booping toys around with us, but I feel like I've gotten so much more out of this potent little package.
It sooths her when she's tired, entertains her when she's awake, and has become her best friend over the past month or so.
I would highly recommend this to any parent, another winner from Baby Einstein! |
Great little "radio" for the baby

| This little "radio" is very cute. My 7 month son loves pressing the buttons to turn it on and change the music and he likes the lights too. However, it does end up on the floor a lot! LOL - Even my 4 1/2 yr old daughter loves it! The music is classical music that you know from the Baby Einstein videos. The volume is a good level and not annoying at all. The music is soothing and you don't get sick of hearing it like some other baby toys. I would recommend this toy. |
Must have!

| My daughter was fascinated with this toy starting at about 6 weeks of age when absolutely no other toy interested her. She would stare at the lights for minutes on end, and, as us mothers know, at this young age, a content baby for several minutes and be a miracle. We went on a road trip when she was just over two months and this was a life saver. I highly recommd this product. |
Music & Lights = Happy Baby!

| I bought this after reading the positive reviews of others and I have been very pleased with the purchase. My baby really enjoys this toy. I use it for 'tummy time', she will lift her head and chest up in order to watch the lights and likes to sing and talk to it. The music is very nice for an electronic toy. I like it so much that I've purchased it for some friends and their babies as well. |
Great Travel Toy

| We took this toy with us for a three hour car ride with our 1 year old son, and it kept him entertained for at least 1-2 hours. He kept pushing the button each time a song ended. It's not extremely loud, so it's not obnoxious to parents. I will probably take this with us on our next plane ride. It's nice and small, too, so it fits into a purse, diaper bag, or tote bag very easily. |
Overall a great toy

My son has enjoyed this toy from the time he was 3 months old until now when he is 2 years old. The music is not annoying and the lights are good to keep the kids' attentions. The little colored "buttons" are not actually separate... just one big button. With each consecutive click of it you get the next song. My son quickly learned how to get to his favorite song.
He puts it to his ear sometimes and pretends it's a phone. That worries me a bit because of the level of the volume. Aside from that though I have no concerns about this toy.
After awhile the button seemed to get gummed up underneath. Maybe something spilled on it?? So now you have to push on it kind of hard to get it to play for the first time after it's been sitting awhile.
I can only remember changing the batteries once - which doesn't mean they didn't get changed more often - but it does mean it's not a battery hog :)
It's great to bring in the car because it's easy for them to hold in the car seat. |
Very Soothing

| My 6 month old son loved this toy ever since he was 2 months old. When he's fussy in the car I just give this toy to him and he calms down immediately! There are two volumes so if we are in the car I turn it to the highest volume and if we're in a public place or my office I just turn it down. The songs are long enough that they grab his attention for a few seconds. He loves to look at the blinking lights that play along with song as well. I feel this will be a toy he will enjoy for a while. |
