The rules of play are simple. If you land on an unowned property, you will have the option to purchase it. Property owners can choose to add extra "parking spaces" and "garages" to their properties, thereby adding value and increasing the rent for other players who land on those spaces. As money trades hands, bankruptcy can be forestalled by mortgaging or trading properties.

For those players interested in a quick game, the instruction manual outlines the rules for speed play. Otherwise, the last player to go bankrupt is the winner.
